It’s February … and National Children’s Dental Health Month!
Teaching your little ones good oral health habits at an early age will help them have a bright, healthy smile throughout their lives. How ca you help instill good dental habits in your kids?
Remind them to:
1) Work with them to show them how to brush their teeth twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste. (Make it a fun thing! Set a timer and brush for two minutes, twice daily.)
2) Floss daily.
3) Eat healthy. Encourage lots of fresh fruits and veggies, and limit sugary sweets and drinks.
4) Drink lots of fresh water!
4) Visit the dentist regularly to plaque build-up and cavities. (Twice a year for a cleaning — to start.
In addition, the American Dental Association has some fun coloring sheets, puzzles and activities you can print off and do with your kids at home. Go HERE to learn more!
